  dreamers\nJoin composer and sound artist Michael Reiley McDermott and The
  Willows Nest for an all-night immersive dreaming sound bath to mark the t
 urning of the seasons.  We will open with dream incubations from Listeni
 ng in Dreams\, by Ione\, as well as a short Yoga Nidra meditation to bring
  on our dreaming consciousness.  Music will begin right at solstice 23:23
  - and last until morning!\n\nComposer and sound artist Michael Reiley McD
 ermott has a sustained interest in meditation\, Deep Listening and the eff
 ect sound can have on the unconscious mind. He has composed several suites
  of music intended to be listened to while sleeping including 2014’s eig
 ht-hour long album Quiescent.\n\nAs a concert experience these durational
  soundscape performances are an immersive\, supportive sonic environment. 
 A gentle sea of ambient field recordings and soft tones unfold over an evo
 lving eight-hour concert. Themes of rebirth\, Bardo states\, stillness\, t
 he liminal space between sleeping-waking-dreaming-listening\, processed en
 vironmental sounds and the edges of audibility are explored during these c
 oncerts.\n\nMorning will bring refreshments\, and an opportunity to talk a
 bout the night's experiences.  Bring a pillow and sleeping bag - we will 
 have soft places all around the concert space\, and there will be couches\
 , futons and floor pillows available\, first come\, first served.  We do 
 have 3 cats in the space\, so those who are terribly allergic be forewarne
 d\; those who love cats may cuddle with them at kitty discretion.\n\nSPACE
