SUMMARY:Choral Conduction: Improvising Voices Workshop
DESCRIPTION:\n\nChoral Conduction is a musical practice that is growing in 
 pockets in many cities around the globe (notably Toronto\, Graz\, Amsterda
 m\, and London). It enables singers and non-singers to come together impro
 visationally and collaborate with an improvising conductor to generate lar
 ge ensemble improvised vocal works. In this workshop with choral conductio
 n practitioners from Canada and The Netherlands participants will learn th
 e basics of choral conduction and spend the day exploring new vocal sounds
  and group vocal textures. No vocal training is necessary to participate\,
  singers and non-singers from any tradition are welcome. We will improvise
  and comes together across traditions.\n\nThis is a special Workshop durin
 g the artistic residency of Gabriel Dharmoo and Chris J. Tonelli.
