SUMMARY:Choral Conduction: Improvising Voices Workshop
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\nChoral Conduction is a musical practice that is grow
 ing in pockets in many cities around the globe (notably Toronto\, Graz\, A
 msterdam\, and London). It enables singers and non-singers to come togethe
 r improvisationally and collaborate with an improvising conductor to gener
 ate large ensemble improvised vocal works. In this workshop with choral co
 nduction practitioners from Berlin and The Netherlands participants will l
 earn the basics of choral conduction and spend the day exploring new vocal
  sounds and group vocal textures. No vocal training is necessary to partic
 ipate\, singers and non-singers from any tradition are welcome. We will im
 provise and comes together across traditions.\n\n\n\nThis is a special Wor
 kshop featuring Tomomi Adachi and Chris J. Tonelli.
